Cebu City Overseas Outreach Mission

Assisting Street Dwellers with Compassion and Community Spirit

During our recent overseas outreach mission in Cebu City, Philippines, our team focused on supporting street dwellers and homeless individuals who call the city’s streets their home. This initiative aimed to provide essential support through clothing supplies, food, and drinks, ensuring that those in need received both practical help and a sense of belonging.

As President, I personally toured the streets of Cebu during late-night hours to locate and assist those most vulnerable. Many of the homeless people were asleep on footpaths, and with gentle care, we woke them to offer warm bread, drinks, and fresh clothing. The experience was both humbling and confronting, highlighting the immense challenges faced by these individuals but also demonstrating the difference that simple acts of kindness can make.

I was privileged to be accompanied by dedicated volunteers, who generously offered their time to meet and greet the homeless. Their compassion and willingness to engage with the community played a vital role in the outreach, fostering a spirit of hope and solidarity. Together, we ensured that our assistance reached as many people as possible and that each interaction was delivered with respect and empathy.

I would like to extend my heartfelt gratitude to all volunteers and supporters, both local and international, who contributed to this mission. Your efforts have not only provided immediate relief but have also inspired ongoing commitment to serve those in need. We look forward to continuing our outreach initiatives and strengthening our impact in Cebu City and beyond.

I acknowledged and thanked Grace Condon from Clothesline Inc and the volunteers: Edna Voros, Sarah Salazar, Izzy O’Gorman, Bebot Cabrera, Cheboy Laspinas and BJ for helping in the distribution and engaging with those in need.
